The date of her birth is March 29th, 1985 in Roswell, New Mexico. Her birth title is Gerina Mendoza. Gerina Stevenson was born in Mexico to Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. The mother of two is a Mexican by blood but an American nationality. Her passion for sports started as a young kid. Gerina took up golf when she reached the age of 15. Gerina has graduated from Goddard High School. At the age of 16, she was a winner in New Mexico's state golf championship. In addition to volleyball, she competed on the state level. The first time she attended in the University of Texas. In her senior year she took home the top prize in every competition she entered. While in her university career, she was awarded Conference USA individual champion player of the year and UTEP Female Athlete Of The Year.
